Woodfins in Wyoming

Since our last update after the summer missions, so much has happened at Rendezvous Church! Our biggest praise is that 6 people have come to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. One couple we meet at the open house we had in August, another we have been building a relationship since last August, and the third came with their sister that we baptized on Sunday.

It is amazing to see the difference over the last year. Rendezvous grew from just Kent and I to over 10 families that attend regularly. Since we had our first worship service on Sept 7th we have averaged attendance between 30-40 for our worship services, and 20-30 people attending bible study.

The last two Sundays have been especially exciting! We had 34 people attend our most recent Bible study, and an incredible 60 people joined us for our very first baptism service. Three individuals were baptized, publicly declaring their faith in Christ, and we had another couple step forward and accept Christ into their heart and home. We’ll be scheduling another baptism service in the near future.

As we look toward the Christmas season, we’re eager to continue building and strengthening this church family. We have about 6 youth attending and we asked them if they would be interested in doing a float for the Christmas Parade. They were so excited to be asked and we are beginning work on the float this week.

Looking ahead to the new year, we will be starting a new believers bible study to help disciple these new believers. Most of them do not come from a church back ground and we want to give them a firm foundation in their faith. 

Our goal from the beginning has been to plant a church where people can meet Jesus, connect with other believers, and truly feel part of the family of Christ. It’s been so encouraging to hear stories from those attending about how welcomed and loved they feel here. 

We have spent the last two years working to start this church and see lives changed! We have had so much help and support, this would not be happening without your faithful partnerships. We are so grateful. Please continue to pray with us as we continue what God has given us to do. Share the Gospel and Show the love of Christ to the people of Pinedale, Wyoming.
