We’re nearly halfway through 2025 and have just passed our one-year anniversary of moving to Pinedale! As we reflect on the year so far, we’re excited to share what’s been happening and what’s coming up.
Building Community
One of the most meaningful developments has been our consistent Sunday afternoon Bible study. We’re blessed to have 2–3 families regularly joining us as we study God’s Word and grow together. Kent has joined the Main Street Pinedale Board, which organizes Rendezvous Days in July, and he’s also coaching James’ T-ball team. I’ve joined a mom’s book club with other homeschooling moms I’ve met over the past year. These connections have been a wonderful way for us to build relationships and cultivate a strong sense of community here in Pinedale.
Through these relationships, we’ve had the opportunity to talk with people about their personal needs and the needs of the community. These conversations are helping us refine our vision for Rendezvous Church and how we can best share the Gospel and serve Pinedale.
Progress at the Church
In April, we were grateful to host a mission team from Mississippi who helped us finish painting the church building and being replacing flooring. There’s still work to do—installing carpet and setting up a sound system—but we’re hopeful that the building will be ready for summer events, Rendezvous Days, and Lord willing, a soft launch of worship services in the fall.
Spiritual Growth
We’ve seen encouraging growth among those attending our weekly Bible studies. It’s been a joy to watch their knowledge of Scripture deepen and their desire to reach their neighbors with the Gospel grow. We’re looking forward to serving with them during our summer missions.
What’s Ahead This Summer
Our summer plans include continuing our weekly Bible study, and we’re praying for two more families to join us regularly by the end of the season. In July, we’ll once again host Traders Row during Rendezvous Days. This tradition features historic Mountain Man vendors setting up trading posts in the church yard. This year, we hope the church can take a more active role in welcoming and connecting with both vendors and visitors—something made easier now that Kent is part of the Main Street Pinedale Board.
Right after Rendezvous Days, we’ll be hosting a Sport Camp with help from another mission team. This VBS-style morning/day camp will teach kids sports like volleyball, baseball, and even cattle roping! Most importantly, we’ll be sharing the Gospel and helping kids understand the love God has for them and the relationship He desires with each of them. We’re not sure what kind of turnout to expect, so we’d be grateful for your prayers—for the planning, the team, the kids who will attend, and for lives to be transformed.
Looking Toward the Fall
We are prayerfully hopeful that this summer’s ministry efforts will lay a strong foundation for a soft launch of Rendezvous Church in the fall. Our biggest hurdle right now is forming a launch team. However, we know that God has already started to give us the team members that we need and will continue providing the right people—fellow believers who are passionate about making an impact in their community.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers. We could not so any of this without you, and we look forward to all that God has in store for Pinedale and Rendezvous Church!
