Hello Everyone,
It is officially Christmas Time and the New Year is right around the corner. Kent has been busy finishing up Apprenticeship Assignments, so that once we are in the New Year we can begin planning for Pinedale and putting pen to paper to detail out what we are going to be doing to start a new church, what our goals are, and how we are going to accomplish them.
We have been working on this some over the past few months, but we really believe that working with our church planting team the details of the church will really begin to take shape. God has been super faithful in providing a vision and people who are really committed to the vision of a thriving church in Pinedale.
Another small update, if you missed it, Kent preached this past Sunday Dec 3rd. If you would like to go see his first sermon in Wyoming it is on the Outfitter Youtube Page and I will link it below. He worked very hard getting this sermon together, Tyler coached him in how to put the sermon together and how to preach the bible contextually. We are going through a sermon series, walking through the Apostles Creed and Kent preached from Hebrew 1:1-4 illuminating the 2nd line “I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only son, Our Lord.”
Outfitter Staff and members have been very excited about starting this series and getting to walk through the basics of our Faith. The purpose of this it to teach and encourage new believers, giving them simple statement of belief as they start out their new life as a Christian. It is also encouraging for the mature believer, this let us review what we believe why we have believed it for so long, and encouraging us to share our faith with others.
Kent will preach again on Dec 31st, continuing the Apostles Creed Series, we should be on the 5th or 6th line by then. It will be live streamed on YouTube at 10:00am MNT as all of Outfitter services are.
We are excited about our first Christmas in Wyoming. We were hoping for a little more snow than what we have gotten, and we have been told that there is usually more by this time in the year. It is unusually dry. There is plenty of snow on the mountain and we had fun taking some cute wintery family pictures last week. I am sure we will get more snow than we bargained for by the end of this winter.

I did passed my Insurance Licensing exam and have submitted my application to the state so now I am just waiting to be approved. The time line that New York Life gave has me starting just before or just after Christmas depending on how the holidays effect the government working. I expect to started after New Year’s. A Shameless plug real quick. If you have thought about getting life insurance or need financial planning guidance, let me know. I am working to set up meetings for when I do get my licenses so I can trigger my contract as quickly as possible. If you are in Georgia, don’t count yourself out, New York Life is very familiar with doing client meetings over Zoom, and once I have my Wyoming License I can add on other states very quickly. End of shameless plug. Do being praying that I get to connect with people here in Wyoming and use my job to the glory of the Lord.
Kent has a trip to Pinedale planned for this weekend. He is going to be meeting up with a Georgia Pastor and doing some mission trip planning. We are starting to look at Mission weeks this summer and what we would like to accomplish during those weeks.
We want to ask you all to specifically pray for finances as tax season approaches. We are having to file taxes differently and in a different state and just pray all the money works out. That we have planned and saved to cover whatever taxes we may end up owing.
Also continue praying for housing market in Pinedale. We will begin house hunting in February, we already have a real estate agent in Brianna Summerall. I mentioned her and her husband in my last update as a couple from Pinedale who are going to be a part of our Church planting team. We are trusting the Lord in providing the house that we need and want to commit that to him in Prayer.
We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and we thank you for following us this year and for your constant support through so many changes. We look forward to sharing more with you over the coming year.
To God be the Glory!
Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year!
