Woodfins in Wyoming

We are still planning on moving to Wyoming around May. The exact timeline of us moving depends on us completing three objectives.

1. Raising our support and getting fully funded so we can fully commit our time and energy to the call that God has given us once we get to Wyoming.
2. Finish out our current commitments with Legacy and Elizabeth’s Dance Studio.
3. Renovate and put our house on the market.

Our goal and prayer is that we have all three of these completed by the Beginning of May and are just waiting on the house to sell if we don’t already have a contract on it.

So as I mentioned in my previous post we will be moving to Bar Nun, WY to do a year long intern/apprenticeship with Outfitter Church. We fully expect to grow in ways that we cannot even imagine right now. We have a covenant that we are developing with Don (Church Planting Strategist) and Tyler (Church Planter) that will set clear goals and markers of growth over the next year.

The covenant is very detailed and very specific, but what I want to give everyone right now is our 3 main goal for the next year while we do this intern/apprenticeship.

1. Experience with a Church Plant- Kent and I have never worked with a church plant. We have worked with traditional churches and with out of the box ministry, but never with a church plant specifically. This was the main concern that NAMB wanted to address during our 18 months of development.
2. Learn Wyoming- It is a different world out west and there is going to be a steep learning curve in every aspect of our life. This year will allow us to learn how to live and do ministry in Wyoming and have a support system near by so we do not have struggle to figure it out on our own.
3. Do ministry and grow the Kingdom in Bar Nun, WY.- Our call was to grow the Kingdom and spread the Gospel in Wyoming, and that is not on hold just because we aren’t in our specific location, i.e. Pinedale. God has opened the doors and is placing us in Bar Nun for this time of growth, but we want to make sure that we are fulfilling the call that God has placed on our lives while we are there.

We are just as excited about Outfitter Church as we are about Pinedale, and there is relief in knowing that when we get to Pinedale we will be prepared, equipped, and ready for the ministry that God has called us to.

Outfitter Church is a 3 year old church plant, started by Tyler Martin and his wife Ashley with their three kids. Outfitter Church is highly involved in the Bar Nun Community and invested in expanding the Kingdom in Bar Nun.
