This week we will complete one of our steps towards Church Planting in Pinedale. Monday morning, we fly to Denver, CO for our NAMB Church Planting Assessment Retreat. We will start Tuesday morning meeting other church planters, attending seminars, and participating interviews. NAMB will be assess our readiness to church plant and how they can best help and support us in our mission field.
Our Pastor, Lane Collins, will be attending the conference with us. He will be attending seminars and going through curriculum designed to teach and equip sending churches to commission and support a church plant.
We are very excited about this retreat and have been looking forward to it for months. We have been told that the term ‘retreat’ is not entirely accurate. This will likely be a spiritually and emotionally exhausting time. We will defiantly need your prayers as we go through this final step to get our NAMB endorsement.
I will be posting on my instagram and facebook what sessions and interviews that we are in so that you can be specifically praying for us through out the retreat. We know that we will be tested and pushed but James 1:2-4 tells us that this devolves perseverance and that we need perseverance so that we can be complete and lacking nothing. We know that we are going to grow during this retreat and we are going to come out the other side with new knowledge and be better prepared to plant a church and expand the Kingdom for God’s Glory.
